The exciting aspect of the M3i Zero is the ability for it to have boot code rewritten .. so far, I haven’t seen any other card with this capability.
What does that mean? Well … it means that if Nintendo should block the card through a Nintendo firmware upgrade, then the M3 Team can rewrite the M3 Zero operating system software and upgrade it at the boot level and make the card appear as something different, fooling the Nintendo firmware.
When that happens, simply download the official firmware onto your microSD card as usual and place it in the M3 Zero. But before you insert it into your DSi, attach the supplied USB power adapter to your PC and to the M3 Zero hame adapter to power the card and have it update the card.
If in future Nintendo upgrades the DS firmwares, then the M3 Zero should have a fix rather than you needing to buy yet another card.
